Back to Backpack is a children’s education game, with a similar way of learning as the classic game Backpacker, with additional added features to make it interactive for the players. It was developed as part of one of my master's degree courses. The company Zenterio wanted us to build an application that showcased the capabilities of their Lua SDK for set-top boxes. My team of 25 people were organized like a hierarchal software company with testing, marketing and development departments. Since the project was comparably small more or less everyone took part in the development.
The game itself can be run in emulator using the Löve game development framework (tested on version 0.8 and 0.9). We also made a promotional video for the game.
